Kitchen Racks  

Kitchen racks are a grand helper in the home. There are all sorts of different versions. You can have racks for dishes, racks for wine and hanging racks. There are also those that attach themselves to cabinets and shelves. All of these can prove very useful and quite pleasing to the eye. The main reason you would want one though, is to increase the space you have in your kitchen and make it easier to maneuver. 

The most common of these is the dish rack. This will allow you to dry your dishes without having to actually do it yourself with a hand towel. InterDesign has their own version for $34.99 which is quite pretty and will also separate your plates and glasses. It allows your glasses to be in an allocated space that tops them from slipping and breaking. Progressive’s dish racks are $34.95 and a little different. They aren’t made in the usual stainless steel and come in grey or clear coloring. The dish rack itself actually collapses making it easy to pack away and keep the kitchen tidy when you’re done. It will also prevent stagnant water from collecting at the base and you can just give it a rinse when you want to use it again.

Another popular rack in the kitchen is a wine rack. Many people like to use red wine as an ingredient when cooking or simply to have a glass after a long day at work. Wine racks add something special to the kitchen and will also provide a place for you to safely keep your bottles without worrying about breakage. Most people are used to seeing the standard square holder wine racks or the ones that you can rest the bottles on but of course designers have taken the concept to a whole new level.

Umbra have a black, urban wine rack that has a very artistic feel to it. It’s beautifully crafted and gives the illusion of bubbles. There are circular tubes attached at strange angles that the wine is supposed to go inside of and yet somehow, it has been designed to balance. This will make a great addition to any kitchen that has a bit of modernity or an artistic flare.
